Whazzup with FB

Ok, so it seems like I haven't been here for a while, or at least not nearly as often as in the past. Trying to figure out what it is about FB that lures one there, rather than taking a couple of extra minutes and trying to string words into, not just a sentence or two, but an actual paragraph or two.
Granted the short give-and-take with other folks is a little bit more my style, it also is a little less naval-gazing-ish, if you know what I mean. Maybe it's the difference between standing on the corner, playing a show as a one-man band as opposed to joining in the drum circle where there are no leaders and things rise and fall, ebb and flow as folks come and go...
That being said, I think that some folks are REALLY good at the blog thing. It is not only interesting to see what they have to say, but how they say it. And along with your immediate reaction to whatever the content is, you're also thinking, "Jeez, that seems pretty easy, I could do that." But it's really not.
Dicky's got a great style, and so does Tomi, but it's totally different. Tomi's got some sort of homespun astral mtbiker lingo. caps and punctuation optional. And unlike Dickey, Tomi's got a second love: skiing. For those who prefer the visual to the verbal, Mike C's is a good place to check in every once in a while (or maybe a good place to check out).
Needless to say there are lots of other folks out there, spinning yards, spreading news, and some just making up some pretty funny stuff... Maybe it's not anything you CAN compare to fb, maybe it's an animal of a whole other species. Like the age old riddle "Do you walk to school or carry your lunch?" maybe some things are just never meant to be figured out.
But be that as it may, I shall try to return here a little more frequently as it is certainly cheaper than paying a shrink.
