My best guess, as yet unconfirmed, about the holiday puzzle is that that is a picture of a deer with no eyes. It is a "no-eyed deer." That pluss "This Year" equals...
"No eye deer this year" or "No idea this year."
As if they couldn't think of a rebus and then used one to express that thought. Pretty clever. Next time I see the neighbors I will seek confirmation.
Almost pie, just need to put a lid on it and pop it in the oven...
We call them "golf balls" in my family, most folks call them Russian Tea Cookies...
