Not only are the flowers falling from the trees, being replaced, pedal by pedal with small green leaves, but the temperature is also starting to get very un-Spring-like as well.
And although we really do need the rain, usually by now a storm has blown in and knocked all of the flowers from the trees, putting a very unceremonious end to the festivities, so the show this year seems to have been longer than it is most years.
