Then worked our way up to 6 Gaps, which also went pretty well.
And trying to keep things moving during the week between adventures...
Just rolling through Fair Hill...
Had a great ride last Sunday at Fair Hill. Just four of us, making a pretty fast train through the tight, twisty trails, rolling over hill and dale. The heat wasn't so bad, and we stayed out of the fields for the most part so we didn't really get baked.
But it was a lot of fun. Worked on my cornering which I really needed to do.
> Turn the hips into the corner.
> Don't over-steer, lean and counter-steer.
> Don't brake too deep in, release as soon as possible and accelerate out.
> Stay off the front brake.
But it's a lot to think about when there is so much going on.
And of course I had to ride to work the next day, Monday, to keep things rolling.
Tuesday was laundry day, so I rode the train to work with clean shirts/clothes.
Then the rest of the week I rode, not super hard, but just keeping the pressure on.
Pushed it on Friday AM a bit. Got in in :58 minutes so that was good.
Not quite so fast on the way out, but the hurt was definitely there, so that was good.
Tomorrow is definitely a rest day.
Looking forward to some of this...
Gold Dust stage at Breck Epic...
Only a couple of weeks left to ramp it up before Breck...need to get into racing shape, finalize the bike shipping and other logistics.
