Congratulations are in order as B passed her second dan (second degree) black belt test last week! Having pretty badly messed up her ankle eariler in the week, it was definitely touch and go as she gimped around on it all week in that defiant way that she has...
But not only did she look good, but she also did her double board break on the first try! No photos though, as I acceded to her request and did not attend...
Although she cannot test again for three years, she is now officially in training for her third dan test...
Had Mother's Day brunch down by the water...Philadelphia Water Works. Very interesting place. Weather was beautful. It's the least we can do. Seriously, we are all pretty blessed...
Rocktoberfest is this weekend, so it is a little prelude for later in the summer...it may be painful, but it is a great ride, so who can argue? 100k of rock infested trails and mayhem, and they still manage to put the "fest" in "sufferfest." Looks like Ernst and Dan are on board for it too, so they too can learn the joys of central pa... And Ernst has to fly to the left coast Sunday morning so you know he's hard core.
