There use to be a statue of liberty, standing alone, in the middle of the Susquehanna, on a stone pier from a long gone railroad bridge.

She was made out of venetian blinds. Her shape wasn’t perfect, but she was definitely recognizable. How did she get there? Why is she there? Who did this very cool thing?

But then The Man took her away. Not sure why, exactly. Maybe for “safety” reasons.
Maybe because she was “trespassing.”

But then, The Man realized that he had done a bad thing, and Lady Liberty has returned.

Although now fully sanctioned and recast in fiberglass composite, she has lost some of her spirit.

Nonetheless she poses there, not as an icon of freedom, but rather as an icon of an icon of freedom, paying homage to the original true concept of liberty, once removed.
