Riding through Manayunk I am always reminded of a term that I learned of a while back.
Everyone knows the "fast lane" or the "passing lane" or the "slow lane."
And there is also the "parking lane" along the edge of most city streets.
But when you're on a bicycle, between the parking lane on your right and the traffic on your left lies somethng called the "door lane." This is the space into which the parked cars open their doors. The result is that, if you are not coreful, you get "doored." Yet another noun turned verb...
Beautiful day to ride in. Crisp but not too cold. Only needed the light for about 15 minutes before the big yellow ball took over. Spring is definitely coming...
