Riverwalk Center in Brteckenridge 2009So here’s the plan for the next couple of days:
Tomorrow: Riding into work one last time before Breck. Not gonna mash it, but not gonna totally coast in either...
Thursday: Day off, fly to Denver
Friday: Drive up to Breck, start asking folks if they know where any oxygen is...Take my brother to Breck’s best Mexican restaurant or anywhere he wants to eat.
Sat: Buy a bunch a food to have around camp. Register. Stick number plates on the bike. See if I can get one of the pro mechanics to bleed my brakes.
Sun: Let the fun begin... Penn Creek Stage: 41.6mi, 7900' of climbing (7900' of descending too!)
Monday: Make sure that I don’t bonk and or crash. Take it easy as this is when the altitude can start to hit you.
Tuesday: More of the same...take it a little easy, don’t get cocky about feeling good, three more days of racing.
Wednesday: Keep the legs turning. Gotta love those pre-dinner massages.
Thursday: Death march up Wheeler.
Friday: Gold Dust stage is crazy fun. Seriously.

Do a little post-race party thing at Riverwalk Center in Breck.
Hope to be able to drive (and walk).
Can’t be any more painful than last year, right?

Saturday: Box up the bike, drop it by FedEx on the way to the airport.
Try to think of some small way to thank my bro’ for his invaluable help. ("Thanks Bro'")

Win or lose, knowing that I put it all on the table, held nothing back, that’s where the satisfaction comes from. ("Win," yea right...well, you know what I mean...)
